Global IP Address Access and Deny List

Setup global IP address deny and allow list - The "IP address deny and allow list" entered here is a global setting and will apply to all virtual servers. The global list is checked before the "IP address deny and allow list" set in virtual servers. Whether an IP address is allowed to access the virtual server depends on the sequence of the checking. If a user is denied here, but allowed in the virtual server's IP list, he will not be able to access the virtual server.

Server Bandwidth Limit

Download bandwidth (KB/s) - It controls the FTP server's total download bandwidth. 0(default) means no limitation. The basic unit of bandwidth limit is KBytes.

Upload bandwidth (KB/s) - It controls the FTP server's total upload bandwidth. 0(default) means no limitation. The basic unit of bandwidth limit is KBytes.

Schedule bandwidth by time - It will change the FTP server's total bandwidth dynamically according to the pre-defined time range. Schedule bandwidth will override the bandwidth limit set in any of the above two options when the current time is within the pre-defined time range. Up to 10 time ranges can be defined in this option.

Firewall and Broadband Router

You may need to configure this option, only if your FTP server is connected to the internet through the Broadband Router or Firewall, and your FTP server is using a private IP address.

Auto-configure WAN IP and port forwarding - Automatically configure WAN IP and port forwarding through UPnP in the router. For details about using UPnP, you can refer to this link.

Use fixed IP address for WAN interface - ADSL Router(NAT/firewall) normally has a fixed IP address for its WAN interface. This IP address is provided by your ISP and is the public IP address. If you have such an IP address, you can fill it here.

Use domain name for WAN interface - WAN interface may use dynamic IP address, but there is a domain name associated with the WAN interface. This domain name is normally applied from a domain name service provider by you. If you have such a domain name for the WAN interface, you can fill it in here.

Limit PASV port range - This will set up a passive port range for the FTP server. This option is used when the FTP server is behind a Firewall and wants to be accessed by users from the outside. For this port range to work, you also need to open the corresponding port range in your Firewall or Broadband Router.

Enable WAN IP auto-detection - It will help the user to detect his WAN IP address. This option sometimes can not find the correct WAN IP, you should rely mainly on the above three options.
